Mind and body has teamed up with Whāriki Hauora (wellbeing for the performing industry) to create the Mind and Body Whāriki Hauora Peer Support Service – it  is for people working in the entertainment and performing arts sector who are struggling with their mental wellbeing or could just do with a bit of extra support right now.

On the 26th of August, Jim Burdett (founder and owner of Mind and Body 1998 – 2015) was awarded the inaugural TheMHS Award for Outstanding Achievement for Peer Work in New Zealand.

The award was presented by Peter Dunne, Minister of Internal Affairs, Assoc. Minister of Conservation, Assoc. Minister of Health and MP for Ohariu, at the final day of 2016 TheMHS conference, held in Auckland.

Jim founded Mind and Body in 1998 and over the years has worked tirelessly to support the development of the peer workforce in the Mental Health & Addictions sectors in NZ.
